Sara is a passionate and strategic family law lawyer with over 10 years of progressive experience in representing family law clients. She combines substantive knowledge, ingenuity, and strong advocacy skills to achieve desired client outcomes. Sara takes a business-savvy approach to family law with a focus on cost-effective results.
Sara appears regularly at both the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice as counsel on motions and at conferences. As well, she represents clients at mediations on issues ranging from custody and access to child and spousal support to property division. As part of her practice, Sara also negotiates and prepares marriage contracts and cohabitation agreements.
Sara graduated from the University of Western Ontario in 2003 from the concurrent H.B.A./LL.B. program. She also received her Hons. B.A. in Political Science from Western. She was called to the Ontario bar in 2004. Sara articled at a boutique family law firm, and has remained committed to exclusively practicing family law since then.
Sara has written on a variety of subjects in family law, with several articles published in Money & Family Law. Sara also co-authored a chapter on Piercing the Corporate Veil in Family Law for the book The Controlling Mind: Exercising Legal Control – Its Obligations and Liabilities. She has presented on a variety of legal issues at professional seminars and is an engaging speaker.
In her spare time, Sara delights in baking cookies, playing tennis, and cheering on her Blue Jays.
