Emily has practiced family law since her call to the bar in 2014. She has assisted clients across a range of complicated legal issues, including support, property division and custody and access. In addition to her courtroom experience, Emily represents clients in mediations and other dispute resolution models. She has a particular interest in custody and access issues and is currently a member of the panel for the Office of the Children’s Lawyer.

Emily graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with an Honours degree in Psychology in 2008. She went on to obtain her Master of Arts from Simon Fraser University in 2010, specializing in the area of law and psychology. Emily’s graduate research focused on children’s memory and the implications of this memory on children’s evidence in legal proceedings. Emily began law school at Osgoode Hall Law School in 2010 and obtained her J.D. in 2013.

Before joining Boulby Weinberg LLP, Emily worked at a boutique family law firm in Toronto specializing in high-conflict family law disputes. She also worked as in-house legal counsel at Peel Children’s Aid Society and as a summer and articling student at the Office of the Children’s Lawyer. Emily is a member of the Ontario Bar Association and the Advocates’ Society.
